Course Details

Anyone can claim to be a personal protector and bodyguard – with the IAS’s Close Protection Officer training course, you qualify as an armed or unarmed security agent for the civil sector in accordance with Level III.

 

CP – Close Protection „Personal Protection“ (= Close Protection Officer CIC)

In a total of 336 teaching units (each 45 minutes long), you will receive an important qualification for your entry into, or promotion within, the security industry.

This course is aimed at employees in security companies as an additional qualification, and soldiers leaving the military, yet also unemployed individuals and employees threatened with long-term unemployment. Age range: 18 to 40 years (in individual cases also older).

Participants must have completed secondary education (or have a comparable level of education), have no relevant criminal convictions as an adult (i.e. no entries in the Federal Central Criminal Register) and have sufficient German language capabilities. Women are as welcome to apply as men.

In a total of 336 teaching units (each 45 minutes long), you will receive an important qualification for your entry into, or promotion within, the security industry.

Within the scope of this course, in collaboration with our experienced instructors, your field of study will include the following subjects:

  • Personal security-related operational expertise
  • Reconnaissance and observation
  • Weaponry expertise for professional firearms bearers
  • Law of public safety and order
  • Civil Code, criminal law and procedural law
  • Psychology (incl. stress management and self-protection)
  • Driver safety training (theory and practical tuition with final examination)

In addition, there is a tuition module “Practical Exercises” in the form of clarification and creation of an operational handbook, observation and counter-observation, immediate and indirect security escorts, working in command.

There is a separate examination at the conclusion of each training block. Our examinations and course content also comply with the international orientation “Level III” (British Standard), so as to fulfil the basic preconditions for assignments on foreign soil.

The price for this course is 2,713.05 € including teaching materials and the examination fees for the Kiel Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Driving Safety and Weapons Expertise.
